Target Audience

A target audience is important when making a music video because you need to know what things you are going to put in and what things are apporpriate in your music video. For example if someone was making a music video for childeren aged around 7-10 you wouldn't put women in bikkins and gangsters im flashy cars because its not apporpriate for the target audience becuase they don't know what a Bugatti or a Ferrari is and also the parents wouldn't accept women in bikkin's in a 7-10 year old video.

I think that a target audience is important when making a music video because it couldaffect how well you sell something to a audience. For example when a artist such as Wiz Kalifa makes a music video for teenagers you see him wearing new nike shoes, snapbacks to sell himself and the products to the target audience because if the target audience see him wearing snapbacks they would want to wear it because they think that its cool and they aspire to be like him.

For my music video i will aim my target audience for people aged 20-30. This is because they will be able to relate to the song and also they will be able to relate to the lyrics of the song. This is also effective because the target audience will be able to build a strong relationship with the artist. Also the content that will be in the music video will also build a strong relationship with the audience becuase they will be able to see the contrast of emotions of the artist when he is going home and when he is away from home preforming. Also the clothing that my artist will wear will relate to the younger and the older target audience becuase in one location my artist will be wearing. In the studio location he will be wearing a suit. This is effective because the target audience will see that he is saficiated and profressional. However in the other location he will be wearing what the younger audience would normally wear. This will be effective becuase the younger audience will be able to relate to the artist. This would let the younger target audience also build a strong relationship with the artist. Also the locations of my music video will appeal to my target audience, this will be beinficial to my target audience because they will be able to relate to the artist and how emotional he is. This will be effective in my music video because the target audience will be able to see the true emotions of the artist which will be effective because the target audience will be able build a strong relationship with the artist.
