Location
The location of the music video is set in various places such as a bedroom,studio and a front garden. The location of a bedroom is effective because it shows that the artist is comfortable and safe. The location of a studio is effective because you get to see the two artist Chris Brown and The Game preform for their audience. Also the location of the front garden is effective because you get to see the sort of lifestyle of the artist.

Iconography
The iconography in this video is effective because you get to see the artist lifestyle. For example when the little boy looks out the window he can see people in his front garden lifting weights and there is also one car. This could show the audience that he isn't as rich or wealthy as they thought he was.

Lighting And Colour
lighting and colour is effective in this scene because it could show that his son is like him when he was younger. We know this because when he is laying down on the bed with him they are both throwing the ball in the same way. This is effective because it tells the audience that his son wants to be like his dad when hes older. This allows the audience to build a relationship with the artist because the lighting allows the audience to interpret what he has been through and the audience can interpret that what he has been through is dark due to the lighting and colour.

Costume
The costumes that the artist wear are effective because it shows that the artist are the same as any other person. For example when The Game and his son look out the window you see people in jeans and a vest, The Game is also wearing jeans and a vest so this shows that he is the same as anyone else.

Body Language
The body language of the artist show that they are confident and not intimidated by anything. For example when The Game goes to walk to the car his facial expressions shows that he is annoyed at something and then when he walks off he doesn't look happy.

Facial Expressions
The facial expressions on the characters show that they are missing something and also they look like they are happy. For example when Chris Brown is in the studio and he is singing you can see that he is emotional over something. And also when there is a dead sound, when it goes back into the song you see The Game put his arm over Chris Browns and The Game's Facial expressions look happy.

Dissolve shot is used to show the audience the contrast of the two different characters. This is effective because it shows how the two different characters how they are feeling. This shows the audience the difference in emotions of the two different characters.
Straight Cut is used to show the audience how they feel for each other. This is effective because
Jump cut is used to show the audience that they are love with each other.
Also cross cuts are used at the start of the music video to show the audience the location from different camera angles. This is effective because it allows the audience to see the lacationfrom different angles.
Also slow motion is used to express what the artist is doing. This is effective because the audience are allowed to see the emotions of the artist. Which will allow the audience to build a relationship with thr artist.

Mid shot of Wretch 32. This is effective becasue the audience get to see the artist and get to see what he is doing. This is also effective because it allows the audience to see where he is and also allows the audience to  build a relationship with Wretch 32 becuase of how far away he is from the camera. Also this camera shot is effective becauxse we get to see the body language of the artist Wretch 32 and how he preforms in the music video.
Long shot is used to show the audience that there is writing on the wall. This is effective because the audience become more enggaged into the music video. This is also effective for the audience because it allows them to not be bored by anything that is happening in the music video. This is also effective for the audience because they will be focused on the artist. Also the audience get to see where the artist Wretch 32 is and how deserted the location is.
Eye level shot is used to show the audience that he is looking at the camera. This is effective because the audience also become more engaged to the video. This also allows the artist to build a relationship with the audience because he is looking directly at the camera which shows the audience that he is taking directly at them.

1) The genre of the music video is R'N'B. We know this becuase of the lyrics, "Dont go, dont leave, please stay, with me". This is effective because this can build a strong realtionship between the artist and the target audience through the way lyrics are used. We also know that it is a R'N'B video because of the pace of the beat. This is effective because it lets people that like R'N'B enjoy the beat and it also helped by the lyrics that some people can relate to understand what the artist is going through.
2) The music video is to show the proformance of Wretch 32. This is effective because you get to see how Wretch 32 proforms. This is effective because the audience get to see his expressions through the different camera shots such close ups and mid shots. The proformance based video is effective because it helps the audience build a relationship with the artist. This is also effective becuase you can see the artist facial expressions becuase of the close ups. This also helps the audience build a relationship with the audience, also the audience can see that he is upset so they can feel sorry for him.
3) The purpose of the music video is to show the audience that the character doesn't want his girlfriend to leave him. We know this because the lyrics and we can see that Wretch 32 really cares becuase of his facial expressions. This is effective because the audience can build a strong relationship and can feel what Wretch 32 is going through using the music video. This is effective because the audience can feel sorry for the artist because of what he is going through, this is also helped by the lyrics "don't go, don't leave, please stay, with me, you are the only thing i need, to get by" which is sung.
4)Goodwins theory is used in this video, we know this because of the link between visuals and lyric. This is effective because the audience can build a realtionship with the artist and they almost "feel his pain" and as the video progesses they feel sorry for him. This is helped by close ups which capture his emotions. Then the mid shots that are used to capture his body language. This is effective because it allows the audience

to see that the artist Wretch 32 is upset. This is also effective because Goodwin’s theory is demonstrated in this music video. This is also effective because it allows the audience not to get confused on why the artist Wretch 32 is upset. Which is also effective because the audience might be able to relate to why the artist is upset.
